Who We Are
Bread of Life Ministries is a Spirit-filled community in Avon, Indiana, dedicated to bringing God’s kingdom to earth. Following the book of Acts, we embrace the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, welcoming all His gifts to equip believers everywhere.
Guided by the Word, we live to hear God’s voice and act on His truth. Through worship, creative arts, and outreach to those in need, we shift the spiritual atmosphere and lead others to Jesus.
What We Believe
The Bible.
- The Bible is the very breath of God.
- It is the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
- Alive and powerful, and is our final authority for what we believe and how we live.

One True God.
- There is one true God—the perfect and eternal Creator of all things.
- He exists forever as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, living in perfect unity and love.
- From that love, He invites us into relationship with Himself—to know Him, walk with Him, and be transformed by His presence.

God the Father.
- God the Father is the holy and all-powerful source of all life and love.
- He is eternal, unchanging, and completely self-sufficient, dependent on no one and present everywhere.
- As our Creator and loving Father, He invites us into relationship with Himself and calls us to walk in trust, obedience, and intimacy with Him.

God the Son – Jesus Christ.
- Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God—fully God and fully man—conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin to reveal the heart of the Father.
- He lived a sinless, obedient life, demonstrating what it means to walk in truth, grace, and love.
- He willingly died on the cross as the spotless Lamb, bearing our sins so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to God.
- On the third day, He rose from the dead in victory, breaking the power of sin and death, and offering eternal life to all who believe.
- Jesus is our risen Savior, reigning Lord, and soon-coming King, through whom we receive salvation, healing, freedom, and the fullness of life in God’s presence.

God the Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit is God’s empowering presence within and among us.
- He convicts hearts, comforts believers, teaches truth, gives spiritual gifts, and fills us with power to live holy and bold lives.
- He leads us into deeper intimacy with God and transforms us from the inside out.
- The Holy Spirit provides spiritual gifts to all believers, manifesting them as He wills.
- All of His gifts are operative today.

Salvation.
- We boldly proclaim the good news of salvation—by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus alone.
- Jesus paid the price for our sins. We turn to Jesus in repentance, we confess our faith, we are baptized in water, and we receive the Holy Spirit who seals us as His own.
- Salvation is not earned by good works—it is a gift freely offered through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
- Because we believe in Christ, we are made new. We are redeemed. We are forgiven. We are adopted as sons and daughters of God.

Baptism.
- Water baptism is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes dying to our old life and rising into new life with Him.
- It represents our cleansing from sin and identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
- Jesus commands every believer to be baptized as part of following Him.
- Baptism does not save us, but it is a powerful act of obedience and surrender that flows from genuine faith.
- Through the act baptism, we testify that we belong to Jesus and are committed to walk in His ways.

The Lord’s Supper.
- The Lord’s Supper is a sacred act of remembrance.
- We take the bread and the cup to remember Jesus’ body broken and His blood shed for our salvation.
- It proclaims the power of Christ’s death and our unity as His body.
- As we share in communion, we declare His sacrifice and our oneness in Him.
- It is a time of reflection, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment as we examine our hearts and come with reverence, grateful for God’s grace and mercy.

Resurrection.
- There will be a resurrection of the dead—both the righteous and the unrighteous.
- After the resurrection, every person will stand before God to be judged according to their deeds.
- Those who are in Christ will enter eternal life, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation.

Body of Christ.
- The Body of Christ is one Church.
- Christ is the head of the Church.
- All who are born again are its members.
- The church’s purpose includes ministering to and instructing its members, while also engaging in evangelism and service to the world.
- Believers in our Lord Jesus Christ are spiritually united.

Victory.
- Our real battle isn’t against people, but against spiritual darkness.
- That’s why we seek to understand and use the powerful weapons God has given us—prayer, His Word, and spiritual authority—to tear down the strongholds of the enemy and walk in victory through Jesus.
- Christ’s Church will ultimately triumph over the forces of darkness.

Spiritual Beings.
- We believe in the active presence of angels, sent by God to help His people, and we recognize the reality of the devil and demonic forces that oppose His purposes.
- But we stand in the victory of Jesus, who has overcome them all.
